LED Installation at Thompson of Prudhoe
In partnership with LCG Energy, we carried out a free LED lighting survey for Thompson of Prudhoe, covering their offices, warehouses, garages, and exterior areas. Following our detailed assessment, we proposed a full-site LED installation designed to improve energy efficiency, meet health and safety standards, and enhance overall lighting quality across the premises.
Our Task
This project involved a range of unique environments, each requiring a tailored approach. The offices featured bespoke ceiling designs, so we engineered custom mounting brackets to accommodate the LED panels neatly and securely. In the warehouses and garages, we ensured compliance with minimum lux level requirements to maintain safe working conditions.
In total, over 400 LED fittings were installed across four buildings, with minimal disruption to daily operations. Every fitting was selected to deliver high performance, reliability, and long-term energy savings.
Energy and Cost Savings
Our initial calculations showed the site’s old fluorescent lighting system consumed approximately £28,502 per year. After the LED upgrade, consumption was reduced to £8,772 per year, achieving impressive annual savings of £18,984 — more than 65% reduction in lighting energy costs.
